Man In Elf On The Shelf Costume Charged With DUI In Riverdale, New Jersey
RIVERDALE, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A man posing as one of Santa's little helpers found himself on the naughty list this week in Riverdale, New Jersey.
Police told NJ.com 23-year-old Brian Chellis, of Cedar Grove, was found passed out in a car early Friday morning.
According to Lt. James Macintosh, Chellis was found asleep at the wheel of a van with its engine running, music blasting and lights on.
Macintosh said he was wearing an Elf on the Shelf costume, with a red shirt, red pants, and white ruffled collar.
Chellis had seemed confused about where he was and had an open can of beer in the car, Macintosh added.
He was issued a summons and released to a family member.
