Group Brutally Robbed Subway Sandwich Shop In Stamford, Conn., Police Say

STAMFORD, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Stamford, Connecticut released surveillance video of the attempted strong-arm robbery in a Subway sandwich shop.

The robbery happened this past Sunday in the Subway at 1126 E. Main St. in Stamford, police said.

One of the suspects is seen beating a clerk before going for the cash register, while the other two serve as lookouts, police said.

The man could not get into the register, and the group all fled east on Main Street, police said.

The clerk was taken to Stamford Hospital, and was treated for lacerations and a concussion, police said.
