Hundreds of department boats, trucks and ambulances throughout New York City now have a blue line honoring the police force.

Some vehicles will also feature the NYPD flags with the blue line across it.

Police Commissioner Bill Bratton thanked the FDNY for their extraordinary support by tweeting a photo.

The FDNY released a statement regarding the blue line.

"FDNY Marine Operations is among the many units throughout NYC honoring the NYPD following the deaths of Detectives Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu. The fire boat Bravest has a thin blue line and four boats carry NYPD flags. Other fire and EMS apparatus throughout NYC also carry tributes to the fallen officers who died on Dec. 20," the statement said.

Liu was laid to rest Sunday morning at Aievoli Funeral Home in Brooklyn.

Ramos' wake and funeral services were held in Brooklyn last weekend.

The officers were killed on Dec. 20 by gunman Ismaaiyl Brinsley as they sat in their patrol car on a street corner in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Brinsley then took his own life.
