Jeb Bush Heads To Greenwich For Wednesday Fundraiser
GREENWICH, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who's exploring a run for president, is headed to Greenwich to raise money for his political action committee.
Bush will raise money for his leadership PAC at a private reception Wednesday, WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schniedau reported.
Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was a U.S. senator from Connecticut from 1952 to 1963. His father, former President George H.W. Bush, grew up in Greenwich.

The private reception is being organized by Debbie Walker Stapleton, a Bush cousin, and Craig Stapleton, U.S. ambassador to the Czech Republic and France under former President George W. Bush, Jeb's brother.
Jeb Bush has announced recently he's cutting ties with several corporate boards and ending advisory roles.
Republican state Sen. Scott Frantz of Greenwich said it's a little early to begin any serious campaigning, but the apperance should give Bush an early sense of his support.
"Very few people do start this early and do come to a place like Greenwich, Connecticut, for some serious fundraising or to assess the fundraising potential unless they're dead serious about running for the presidency," Frantz told Schneidau.
It's likely prominent Greenwich Republican Tom Foley, a two-time gubernatorial candidate, will be invited to the reception. He and Jeb Bush were once prep school classmates at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts.
In April 2014, Connecticut Republicans welcomed Jeb Bush as keynote speaker at the Prescott Bush Awards fundraising dinner in Stamford.
