Police: Woman Kidnapped Friend's 3-Year-Old Son From Jamaica, Queens Apartment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Tuesday night for a woman accused of kidnapping a 3-year-old boy in Jamaica, Queens.

Sharondalis Morgan is described as an 18-year-old black female standing 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds, police said.

Police said around 3:40 p.m. this past Sunday, Morgan, who had recently befriended the boy's mother, was inside the mother's apartment in a building on 177th Street in Jamaica, Queens. When the mother left the room, the suspect took the boy and fled, police said.

The boy was later found safe outside Woodhull Medical Center, police said.

Police released a mugshot of Morgan from a previous arrest on criminal sale of marijuana charges in 2014.
