1/7 CBS2 Wednesday Morning Weather Headlines
By Giorgio Panetta, CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good Morning Everyone!
It is definitely a cold smack in the face heading out the door this morning! Widespread single digits and teens are around for the first time this season.
Although the cold is here, the snow is lagging behind. With yesterday's whopper of a system (not really) we stand at 1.7 inches of snow. Last year at this time... 15 inches. So yeah, were behind.
Temperatures won't really climb at all today. By 11 p.m. tonight, we will be in the lower teens, if not colder.
Waking up Thursday morning, the city should be down near 7 or 8 degrees. The coldest spots will have thermometer readings below zero. Factor in a north west wind at 25-35 mph and that drives the real feel temps down to hypothermia town.
Seriously though, it's going to be dangerous.
We have a little snow for Friday AM again before a clear and cold Saturday.
Check back in soon!
