Report: Nets Aiming To Trade Brook Lopez By Weekend

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- According to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets are determined to trade center Brook Lopez by the weekend.

The Thunder and the Nets are currently discussing a deal that would send guard Jeremy Lamb, center Kendrick Perkins and forward Grant Jerrett to Brooklyn, Wojnarowski reports.

More players will need to be included in the package for the deal to come to fruition, according to Wojnarowski.

Nets general manager Billy King is looking for a third team to flip Perkins to, Wojnarowski reports.

It was initially reported that the Nets were involved in a three-team trade with the Thunder and Hornets that would have netted Brooklyn Lance Stephenson, but those talks flamed out after the Nets decided that adding Stephenson was too risky.

Lopez is making $15.7 million this season, and the 2013 All-Star has a $16.7 player option for the 2015-16 season.

There's still a very good chance that Lopez will be a Net on Monday. If King isn't blown away by any offers, he might opt to hold onto the big man for now.

According to Wojnarowski, King is looking to trade two of Lopez, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson by the Feb. 19 trade deadline.

The Nets have lost seven straight to fall to 16-23. They're currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, ahead of the Pacers and Hornets by 1 1/2 games.

Lopez, 26, has averaged 14.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 29 games this season.
