1/21 CBS2 Wednesday Morning Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Morning,

It's a pretty chilly start out there today! Many are bottoming out in the upper teens and lower 20s.

Expect clouds to thicken up today as an Alberta Clipper slides across the area. Basically, the all the energy of the storm that would be giving the Tri-State a widespread 2 to 3 inches of snow will be suck out to sea by a redeveloping secondary low. This draws the energy away from us and therefore means generally less snow.

Now, down the Jersey shore in Ocean and Monmouth counties, they could see 2+ inches for sure. The bulk of the energy is concentrated there.

Skies clear very nicely on Thursday afternoon with a chill in the air. Friday has a beautiful bluebird sky. Temps will be in the mid to upper 30s.

Saturday brings yet another chance for snow and rain. This time, it's a coastal storm, so I'm going to keep a close eye on the development and track.

Yet another risk for winter weather rears it's head on Monday. Check back in often for updates on our busy week ahead.
