Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. Named The Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie Of The Year

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - Saturday night was a good night for the Giants' Odell Beckham Jr.

The wide receiver, who made the play of the year against the Cowboys with a one-handed snag of a touchdown pass while falling backward, was voted The Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Beckham tied Michael Irvin's NFL mark with nine consecutive games of 90 yards receiving and finished with 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 TDs.

"This is a great class that I came in,'' Beckham said. "Part of the season that I wanted to come out (early from LSU) was to be included in this class.''

Beckham beat out Dallas Cowboys' Zack Martin and Tampa Bay Bucs' Mike Evans.

Voting for the 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year selected by The Associated Press in balloting by a nationwide panel of the media went as follows:
-Odell Beckham Jr., WR, N.Y. Giants 42
-Zack Martin, OT, Dallas 7
-Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay 1
