2/5 CBS2 Thursday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hello all,

Temps are falling off big time this hour. At the top of our 5 p.m. news, the temp was 25, feeling like 18. An hour later, the temp fell to 22, but it felt like 5.

Expect more of the same tonight and tomorrow. The clear skies will allow temps to fall into the single digits. We recover a bit in the afternoon topping off around 25.

Saturday is actually kind of mild. We will be near 40 degrees in Manhattan, even milder south. North however, different story. Temps will be cold in the Hudson Valley and Western Connecticut, and these areas could start seeing snow late Saturday.

Sunday is not a day to cancel plans. The precip will be light.

Monday looks like the messiest. I'll have some totals for you in the next update.

Check back in soon!
