Prosecutor, Jackson, N.J. Girl's Pro-Hitler Social Media Image Was Not A Crime
JACKSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- New Jersey authorities have decided the pictures on social media of a teenage girl dressing herself like Hitler, and a popular Orthodox Jewish gathering spot with the caption ``perfect bombing time," did not amount to criminal acts.
Al Della Fave, a spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, told the Asbury Park Press the pro-Hitler images posted by the Jackson teen and others never posed a danger to the community.
Authorities said the behavior may have been offensive, but it was not criminal.
The unnamed girl from Jackson, New Jersey is the daughter of a state police sergeant, according to the Asbury Park Press.
Della Fave said the teenager was not given special treatment because of her connection to law enforcement.
