ET: Rosie O'Donnell To Leave 'The View' After Split With Wife

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Five months after returning to "The View," Rosie O'Donnell is leaving the program to concentrate on the "well-being" of her family, Entertainment Tonight reported late Friday.

O'Donnell, 52, split with Michelle Rounds, her wife of three years, late last year, ET reported. She returned to the program in September of last year after a dramatic exit seven years earlier, ET reported.

Her last appearance on "The View" comes next week, ET reported.

In a statement to ET, O'Donnell representative Cindi Berger said: "I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November. Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave The View. Next week will be her last."

ABC said O'Donnell's decision to leave was personal in nature, and left the door open for guest appearances in the future, ET reported.
