Police Find 8 Dogs In Abandoned Building In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police officers on Monday rescued eight dogs from a vacant building in Brooklyn.

The dogs were rescued by 61st Precinct officers Monday morning, when they responded to a burglary report at 1818 Ocean Pkwy. in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, according to a DNAInfo report.

They were taken to Brooklyn Animal Care and Control, and the precinct tweeted a photo of the dogs – all wearing sweaters.

The precinct advised in another tweet that anyone who wants to adopt the dogs should call Animal Care and Control (212) 788-4000 and mention that the dogs were brought in by the 61st Precinct.

Three days are required before they are medically cleared.
