Suspect Identified In Deadly Shooting At Alphabet City Public Housing Project

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police identified a suspect Tuesday in a shooting that left a man dead in a public housing development in Alphabet City.

Shemrod Isaac, 33, was shot and killed Monday afternoon in front of a building in the Lillian Wald Houses, at 20 Avenue D.

Police were called around 4:30 p.m. to the scene, and learned that Isaac had been shot four times, the NYPD said.

Isaac was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Tuesday that Shaquille Fuller, 21, who lives on the block where the shooting happened, has been named as a suspect in Isaac's slaying.

Police released a photo of Fuller.
