2/28 CBS2 Saturday Morning Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning all,

You'll certainly want to bundle up if you're headed out early this morning! Temps across the region are in the teens and single digits, with even some subzero readings far north and west. Guess it's only fitting that we end this crazy cold month below normal. What else is new, right?

Plenty of sunshine for your Saturday, but it will remain cold. Expect a high of just 29 in the city, much like yesterday. Increasing clouds tonight, with lows in the upper teens to lower 20s.

Sunday starts off dry, but some snow will move into the region by late afternoon and early evening. This changes to a mix/rain overnight, moving out pretty quickly during the Monday morning commute. You'll want to leave yourself some extra time Monday, especially if you're out and about before dawn. The latest thinking is 1-3 inches in the city, with lesser amounts south. The higher amounts will be confined north and west, where 3-6 inches is a good call right now.

After that, we'll see clearing for Monday with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Check back in later today for updates on tomorrow's storm!
