Woman, 89, Found Dead In Brooklyn Fire
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An 89-year-old woman was found dead this past weekend in a fire in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
Police were called at 8:06 p.m. Sunday to a fire at 546 77th St., according to the NYPD. Officers responding to the scene were met by firefighters, who said they had found the woman's body after putting out the fire, police said.
The woman was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
She was identified as Kathryn Johnson.
The investigation continued late Monday.
