NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A 7-year-old boy was rescued by emergency responders Wednesday evening, after a backyard igloo he was building collapsed on him in Brooklyn.

Just after 7 p.m., the boy was building an igloo in his family’s backyard, on 42nd Street between 15th and 16th avenues in Borough Park, Brooklyn, officials told CBS2.

The igloo collapsed on the boy and he became trapped, officials said.

The boy was taken by a Hatzolah volunteer ambulance to Lutheran Medical Center, officials said.
