NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Stephanie and Tony Tantillo have come up with another way to cook a popular vegetable. It’s kale, Italian-style.

Sicilian Kale


2 tablespoons of oil

8 oz kale leave only

4 oz pancetta

3 oz pine nuts toasted

3 oz black raisins


In a pot of salted boiling water, add kale. Cook for 5 minutes.

Remove kale from pot and run it under cold water.

In a sauté pan heat up the oil. Add pancetta, then add the kale.

Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Add pine nuts and raisins.

Let all simmer together.
