3/14 CBS2 Saturday Morning Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Saturday Morning!

It's certainly a damp one out there as you're waking up. Rain moved in overnight and will continue through today, heavy at times.

There is a Freezing Rain Advisory in effect for counties north of the city, as surface temps will be hovering around the freezing mark here. Any leftover ice will quickly change to all rain this morning as the milder air moves in.

We'll warm up to a high of 50 in the city today.

The steady rain will give way to scattered showers this afternoon and evening. Expect a general inch or so of rain across the region. There could be some flooding issues where a lot of snow melting takes place, especially north and west. Clouds will thin out a bit overnight into Sunday.

The second half of the weekend will not be a washout by any means! Looks like a mix of sun and clouds, with temps once again around the 50 mark in the city. There may be some scattered showers around at times, maybe even a few flakes far to the north. But it will be much improvement from today.

Monday continues to be the pick of the week, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 50s. Early St. Patrick's Day forecast is lookin' good as well, with just a slight chance of a passing shower.
