Police: Woman Threw Coffee In MTA Bus Driver's Face On St. Patrick's Day

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were searching for a woman who threw coffee in a city bus driver's face in the Flatiron District, in the midday hours on St. Patrick's Day.

The woman threw the coffee in the face of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus driver, a 45-year-old man, while he drove through the junction of 23rd Street and Broadway around 11 a.m. on Tuesday of last week, police said.

The suspect then ran off, police said. She was described as white and in her mid-20s, with long hair.

Police have released photos of the woman's face, and of the woman throwing the coffee.
