Woman Found Dead Under No. 1 Train In Inwood
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was found dead under a subway train Monday on the elevated portion of the No. 1 line in Inwood, Manhattan.
Around 10:30 a.m., police were called to the 207th Street station, at 207th Street and Tenth Avenue, for a call of a person under a train.
Responding officers found that a 54-year-old woman had been struck by a southbound No. 1 train at the station, police said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The investigation into her death continued late Monday.
The woman's name was being withheld late Monday pending family notification.
