Police: Woman, 64, Raped In Brownsville, Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police late Wednesday were asking for assistance from the public in finding a suspect who raped a 64-year-old woman in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

Around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday of last week, the suspect followed the woman as she walked into her apartment on Christopher Avenue in Brooklyn and sexually assaulted her, police said.

The suspect also took $17 in cash from the woman and ran off, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male, wearing a brown hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
