FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — A Rhode Island man found in a New Jersey hotel this week with a teenage girl has been charged with sexual assault and human trafficking.

Somerset County prosecutors say 29-year-old Paul Monteiro, of Providence, also faces kidnapping charges. He remains jailed on $400,000 bail, and it wasn’t known Wednesday if he has retained an attorney.
