Keith Hernandez called in Monday morning and was prepared to talk Mets baseball with Joe and Evan, only to have the Dynamic Radio Duo filling in.

Well Boomer and Craig, ‘a couple of second-stringers,’ filled in admirably all morning long and when the aforementioned Hernandez called in to talk about the Mets, they were more than up to the task.

Hernandez talked about his 10 years in the SNY booth with ron Darling and Gary Cohen, discussed what goes into making up a batting order, referred to himself as ‘old-school’ (but did not go streaking), discussed the relationship between Terry Collins and Sandy Alderson, offered his thoughts on Matt Harvey and the importance of getting along with teammates.

Before saying goodbye, Hernandez got something off his chest with regards to what he perceived to be a case of Boomer ‘big-timing’ him five years ago! Jeez, let it go already…
