Bay Ridge, Brooklyn Building Residents Set Record For Loud Sex Complaints

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Some residents of a building in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn have set a record for having the city's loudest sex – as judged by 311 calls by neighbors complaining about it.

As 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported, half a dozen neighbors from the building at 7201 Ridge Blvd. in Brooklyn have called 311 to complain in the first month and a half of the year, according to a DNAInfo report.

Resident Peter Rivera said he has not complained, but he understands why his neighbors do.

"If it's late at night – if it was, like, 3 o'clock in the morning, I'd be upset," he said. "You know, maybe you could cover your mouth a little bit."

But the couple has kept quiet about their ear-splitting sex. The man ran from photographers, while the woman called police on pesky reporters, Jones reported.

"That's all on him," Rivera said. "Maybe he just doesn't want that information out there."

There were 133 complaints to 311 citywide between Jan. 1 and Feb. 12 of this year about people having sex too loud, DNAInfo reported.

Brooklyn had the most with 42 complaints, followed by Queens with 37, the Bronx with 31, and Manhattan with 23, the publication reported. Staten Island had none at all, the publication reported.
