Baruch Professor Accused In Brooklyn Bridge Assault To Be Arraigned

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The Baruch College professor accused of inciting a riot during a protest on the Brooklyn Bridge will be arraigned in Supreme Court Tuesday.

Police say Eric Linsker tried to throw a metal trash can at them last December during a protest against the non-indictment decision in the Eric Garner and Michael Brown cases.

Investigators say protesters beat up two lieutenants when they tried to arrest Linsker.

Jarrod Shanahan, 29, was charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, as well as resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, and rioting.

Four other suspects – Cindy Gorn, Zachary Campbell, Maria Garcia and Robert Murray have also been charged in the incident.
