Trio Of Baseball's Biggest Stars Set For Rare Yankee Stadium Cameos In June

Provided by TiqIQ

It has been said that playing in New York, whether it be as a member of the home team or the opponent, is as big as it gets. If that is the case, things are about to get even bigger in the month of June concerning the Yankees’ home slate, as they welcome some of baseball’s biggest and brightest young stars in the game today.

The barrage of budding sluggers coming to Yankee Stadium begins on June 5 when the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim come to town for a three-game set, boasting the services of the most complete and talented player baseball has to offer, Mike Trout. With another outstanding season under his belt thus far following his MVP-winning 2014, Trout has helped pace the Angels in keeping them in Wild Card contention.

Yankees.com has better deals on tickets for this series than the secondary market, such as in section 229, row 10 for the opener where you can get tickets for $60 . Comparatively on the secondary market, seats in section 229, row 10 are $82. Furthermore, if you wanted to sit in the upper deck, you can get section 410, row 4 tickets for just $22 from the Yanks, compared to $32 from other secondary sources.

Immediately after that series, the Yankees will welcome the NL East-leading Washington Nationals to Yankee Stadium, led by arguably the hottest hitter in all of baseball, Bryce Harper. Of course, the former No.1 overall pick has always had high expectations since debuting in 2012, but now it appears he’s finally put it all together and has been unstoppable at the plate as of late. In the process, he’s helped his club soar past a questionable start to the season, as Washington was under .500 at one point. Now the Nats sit comfortably atop the National League East and behind only the St. Louis Cardinals is the NL win column. They’ll really be tested in this series, however, going up against a fellow contending club in New York.

The primary market sports some good deals on tickets compared to the secondary market, such as the series opener on June 9. The game also happens to be Cap Night in the Bronx. Those promotional items tend to draw enhanced prices on the secondary market. An example of that is section 204, row 12 in the bleachers. On the secondary market, tickets are listed for $31. Again, though, the Yankees offer the better deal, having section 204, row 12 on their primary site for $22. There are some deals to be found on secondary market sources such as TiqIQ for Yankees tickets so comparison shopping is important.

One week after the conclusion of their series with the Nationals, the Yankees will get their first taste of the most powerful youngster in baseball, Giancarlo Stanton. With 13 home runs entering June, and coming off his second 37-homer season in three years, there’s no question that Stanton is already amongst the elite sluggers in the game. Stanton could be ready to unload on Yankee Stadium, which features favorable dimensions that appear to suit his strengths.

Although the Marlins are scuffling at this juncture of the season, tickets are still expected to draw some significant activity, even if just to see the mammoth Stanton up close and personal. This rare interleague series features more instances when the Yankees offer better ticket deals than secondary sources. For instance, in the finale of this two-game set on June 18, which is also Thurman Munson Bobblehead Night, Yankees.com has seats in section 106, row 12 for $110, whereas on the secondary market, section 106, row 12 tickets are commanding $159, which is almost a considerable 50 percent increase.

All in all, it’s a loaded June lineup concerning Yankee home games, and it doesn’t stop there. They’ll also be hosting a fellow top contender, the Detroit Tigers, and a rare opponent in the Philadelphia Phillies to cap off the month. Between the quality of opponents and some of the most-anticipated promotional giveaways of the season, there’s much to look forward to at Yankee Stadium in the third month of the 2015 MLB campaign.
