1 Killed, 3 Wounded In North Amityville Fight

NORTH AMITYVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- One person was killed and three others were injured during a fight on Long Island early Saturday morning.

It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday when a fight broke out outside the Hollywood Lodge on Coolidge Avenue in North Amityville, 1010 WINS' Roger Stern reported.

Shots rang out and Suffolk County Police Lt. Kevin Beyer said three people were hit and others were involved in the fighting.

"We think there was at least five people involved in the fight," he said.

Carl Curry lives across the street and heard the entire ordeal.

"There were females who said 'He got shot. He got shot.' And then just everybody was like 'I'm out of here. I'm out of here,'" he said.

Three men were taken to hospitals for gunshot wounds while a fourth man was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries he sustained in the fight, police said.

Louis Wilson, 44, of Kansas City, Missouri was pronounced dead, police said. The other three are expected to survive.

Sources told 1010 WINS the three shooting victims are brothers.

There's no word on what caused the argument that precipitated the shooting.
