The buzz attached to tonight's "True Blue" charity softball game is obviously not limited to just those here at WFAN.  On Wednesday morning, Boomer and Craig heard from the fine folks over at CBS2, as Chris Wragge and Mary Calvi checked in to get the latest details on the festivities scheduled in the Bronx.

After that fun concluded, Jerry Recco was on hand, so he did his thing -- his "thing" being updating his face off.

The Yanks won an extra-inning affair in Seattle thanks to some late-game heroics courtesy of Garrett Jones and Stephen Drew.  For his efforts, Drew was treated to a postgame chat with Suzyn Waldman, who didn't sound like her usual self, which Craig quickly remedied by critiquing her line of questioning.

The Mets had Noah Syndergaard on the hill in San Diego and the rookie got hit pretty hard, leading to a 7-2 loss. David Wright, who hasn't played since April 14, spoke with the assembled media prior to Tuesday's game and he said he plans to be back sooner rather than later.  Craig isn't dismissing the idea that perhaps "secretly" the Mets brass is hoping Wright doesn't ever return, citing the financial benefit they would reap.

Plus, "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown," faith in Geno Smith appears to be dwindling although the Jets quarterback's confidence is not, Craig's sound check at the Stadium, Adrian Peterson talks about his return to the Vikings and Cam Newton strikes a lucrative deal with the Panthers...
