6/8 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

Expect a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon with breezy conditions. Counties far N&W could see some storm activity late, but it will stay quiet in the city. Highs will max out in the upper 70s.

Showers and storms push through tonight with the greatest threat of severe weather across our NW suburbs this evening. It will quiet down into the overnight, but it will feel a bit more humid than last night. Lows in the mid to upper 60s.

There will be a lingering chance of showers and storms into tomorrow with humid conditions in place. It will be warm again with highs in the low 80s.

Weak high pressure will fill in on Wednesday. Expect mainly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s.

Thursday looks to be another warm one. A front will be in the vicinity though, so we can't rule out a stray shower/storm around the area.
