2 killed, 1 Wounded In Shooting Outside New Jersey Club
PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Two people were killed and another was seriously wounded when gunfire erupted outside a northern New Jersey nightclub.
But it's not yet known what sparked the shooting, which occurred around 2:45 a.m. Saturday at the Cloud 9 Lounge in Passaic.
Authorities say a 22-year-old Paterson woman and a 24-year-old man were killed in the shooting. The woman was shot in the chest, while the man was shot in the chest and stomach.
The wounded victim, identified only as a 24-year-old man, was shot in the chest. He was hospitalized in critical condition, and further details on his injuries were not disclosed.
Authorities say the shooter apparently was a man who fled the scene on foot. Authorities say it's not clear if any of the shooting victims knew the man.
