10-Year-Old Queens Girl Dies After Collapsing On Soccer Field During Day Camp

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A 10-year-old Queens girl is dead after collapsing at a summer day camp.

Laura Palma was playing soccer around 3 p.m. Monday on a field at Queens College when she said she wasn't feeling well. Shortly thereafter, police say she lost consciousness.

She was taken to New York Hospital Queens where she was pronounced dead.

The New York City Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
