VIDEO: Plane Lands On Highway In Stafford, N.J.

STAFFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Stafford Township Police have released video of the small plane that made an emergency landing there Sunday morning.

The aircraft touched down safely near a Home Depot on Route 72 shortly after 10 a.m., police said.

Five people were aboard the plane. One passenger was treated for a small cut on his arm, but no one else was injured, authorities said.

The video, which you can see below, shows the plane narrowly avoid hitting a car as it lands and then quickly veering onto the median.

The aircraft was carrying students from Skydive East Coast skydiving school, authorities said.

The plane lost power, forcing the pilot to land on the grass median between the eastbound and westbound lanes of Route 72.

Emergency Plane Landing

EMERGENCY AIRCRAFT LANDING 7/12/15 - On Sunday July 12th at 10:13 am, Stafford Police responded to the area of Route 72 and Route 9 for a report of a small plane down. The initial investigation suggests that the small single engine plane, carrying students from the Skydive East Coast Sky Diving School, lost power forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing on the grass median between the east and west bound lanes of Route 72 . Officers at the scene closed the left lanes on Route 72 in both directions for approximately 90 minutes while the scene remained under investigation. One sky dive instructor was treated for a small cut on his arm, however, no other injuries were reported and no vehicles were involved. The investigation will be turned over to Federal Aviation Administration for further investigation. Here is video of the plane landing as it enters the Rt 9/Rt 72 overpass 7/12/15
