NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Just like a TSA pre-check program — a new security measure will allow Yankees fans to skip the metal detectors at games if they register beforehand.

Jeff Freedman of security firm “CLEAR” insists that your personal information will be safe, WCBS 880’s Peter Haskell reported.

“Walk in, one of our ambassadors will ask for their driver’s license, and scan their driver’s license, and then we’ll scan their fingerprints,” Freedman said. “Information security, data security are of the utmost importance to CLEAR.”

Freedman does not believe that providing fingerprints to go to a baseball game is intrusive.
