Police: Man Asked For Sexual Favors, Choked Woman In Crown Heights

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching Wednesday for a man who allegedly asked a woman for sexual favors, and then choked her when she refused, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Around 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16, the suspect began taking to the woman as she walked past the corner of Pacific Street and Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn, police said.

The suspect went on to ask the woman for sexual favors, but she refused, police said. At that point, the suspect choked the victim and ran off, police said.

The victim never lost consciousness, police said.

Police released a surveillance photo, and said the suspect has a scar over one eye.
