New Jersey Dinosaur Park Searches For New Location, Could Face Possible Extinction

SECAUCUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A popular dinosaur park in Secaucus, New Jersey has just a few weeks to go before possible extinction.

As 1010 WINS' Rebecca Granet reported, you can hear them before you see them: life-sized dinosaur replicas filling the 16 acres of Field Station: Dinosaurs.

The winding trails are filled with smiling faces, including one group of kids visiting the park on Wednesday.

"Because we like them so much, we came here," said one little girl.

But the executive producer of the park said they're closing in 12 days because High Tech High School will be moving in and they still don't have a new home.

"There's still the outside chance that these last 12 days are our last 12 days," Guy Gsell said.

Gsell said the park is in talks with three different sites in New Jersey to find a possible new location.
