NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A child was found safe in a Brooklyn park Thursday, after police said a daycare left him behind.

The child, whose name has not been released, was found inside the Sunset Park playground around 1 p.m., police said.

The NYPD told CBS2 a daycare employee miscounted the children and left the boy behind.

Someone found the boy and called police, and the boy was taken to the 72nd Precinct station. A tweet with his photo helped locate his mother.

Late Thursday, the boy was fine and was with his family.
