Marchers Rally Against Gun Violence In Brooklyn A Day After Cuomo Aide's Death
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Dozens of people rallied in Brooklyn Thursday night in a call to end gun violence, following the death of an aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo who was caught in a crossfire.
The crowd marched and prayed in Crown Heights in memory of shooting victims.
The rally was held a day after Carey Gabay, 43, died of his gunshot wound.

The 43-year-old Harvard-educated lawyer served as first deputy general counsel at the Empire State Development Corp. He was shot in the head during a predawn party celebrating the parade Sept. 7 and was pronounced dead on Wednesday.
Gabay was walking with his brother near the Brooklyn parade route at 3:40 a.m. when he was shot.
"People need to speak out about gun violence," said Amy Ellenbogen of the S.O.S. Crown Heights Mediation Center. "They need to understand that it is possible to make a difference."
Police late Thursday were still searching for Gabay's shooter.
