No Injuries Reported After Early Morning Fire Damages Home In Kearny, NJ

KEARNY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- An early morning fire devastated a home in New Jersey.

The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at a house on Laurel Avenue in Kearny.

Flames could be seen shooting at least 10 feet high from the roof of the home, CBS2's Ilana Gold reported. At one point the fire was so intense, it singed the sides of the two neighboring homes.

A man was inside the house when the fire started, but managed to get out safely. One of the homes next door was under construction and was empty, but a family was in the other one and also got out safely.

The cause is still under investigation.
