10-Year-Old Boy Killed In East New York Fire

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A fire has claimed the life of a child in Brooklyn.

The fire started around 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pink Houses in East New York.

Two adults and one child were able to escape from the third floor apartment, but a 10-year-old boy was found unconscious inside, CBS2 reported.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's name hasn't been released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
