Victor Cruz Out For Sunday's Game Against Bills; No Timetable For Return

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The return of New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is on hold.

Coach Tom Coughlin says Cruz will not play Sunday against Buffalo after aggravating a calf injury Wednesday. Instead, the former Pro Bowler will work with trainers. There is no timetable for his return.

Cruz had said Monday he expected to practice Wednesday and play Sunday.

Cruz hurt his calf in training camp in August and has not practiced with the team. He has missed the first three games of the season and has not played in an NFL game since his season-ending knee injury last Oct. 12 against the Eagles. It was his second knee injury in two seasons.
