Fallen Tree Knocks Out Franklin Avenue Shuttle In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A fallen tree knocked out service on the Franklin Avenue Shuttle subway service in Brooklyn Friday evening.

Around 6 p.m., the tree at the Botanic Garden station knocked out service in both directions on the elevated shuttle, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

The tree fell across both tracks, making it impossible to run service safely, the MTA said.

The tree was later removed, and service had resumed with residual delays by 8:20 p.m.
