Tracy Morgan Announces Nationwide Comedy Tour

NEW YORK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Tracy Morgan has been making a comeback in recent weeks, showing fans he's back in routine after a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike left the longtime comedian in a coma last year.

The "30 Rock" star has announced will be kicking off a nation-wide tour in February, making local stops in Atlantic City, Huntington, Ridgefield, Englewood, Mashantucket, Verona and Westhampton Beach along the way.

He will also be making a stop at the State Theater in New Brunswick, N.J., in April. The theater is located about 20 miles from where the June 2014 accident occurred.

The "Tracy Morgan: Picking Up The Pieces" tour will run until late May of next year.

Morgan made his debut back into the spotlight at a surprise appearance at the 2015 Emmy Awards back in September. Morgan traveled to New York last week, where he performed two shows at Manhattan's Comedy Cellar and The Stand NYC, before hosting Saturday Night Live on Oct. 17.

Morgan was in a coma for two weeks after a Walmart semi-trailer crashed into the back of a limo van he was riding in on the New Jersey Turnpike last year. Comedian James ``Jimmy Mack'' McNair was killed in the crash.
