As WCBS 880’s Sophia Hall reported, Shakeem Early said she felt dizzy after going on bus after bus trying to get to work Saturday morning.

“It’s been a rough morning, but the bills aren’t going to pay themselves. So I have to go to work. So it is what it is,” she said.

Due to the work on the Ellison Avenue Bridge, buses are replacing trains between Hicksville and Mineola.

One rider said she definitely felt the delays.

“Very tired, I had to get up like an hour early to make it here, and the transferring and everything is too much,” she said.
