Hillary Clinton To Appear On 'The Late Show' Tuesday

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton will pay a visit to 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert' on Tuesday night.

The Democratic presidential hopeful will be joined by scheduled guests chef and TV personality Anthony Bourdain and Portlandia star Carrie Browstein.

In September, Colbert addressed Clinton's need for authenticity and a need to appear more 'genuine' to voters.

"If only there was a way to get a glimpse of the private side of Hillary Clinton. I don't know, read her emails or something," Colbert joked in the segment, which aired on Sept. 11.

He also joked about her social media emoji campaign reaching out to Millennials, in a segment which aired in late September.

Clinton follows past "Late Show'' guests from the campaign trail including Jeb Bush, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

Last week, Clinton defended her record in front of Congress through the Benghazi attacks.
