Reports: Derek Jeter, Supermodel Hannah Davis Engaged
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Derek Jeter's bachelor days are apparently almost over.
The Yankees great, who retired after the 2014 season, is engaged to supermodel Hannah Davis, according to published reports.
The couple have not announced their plans publicly, but sources close to them confirmed the engagement to the New York Daily News and New York Post.
Jeter, 41, and Davis, 25, have been dating since 2012. It's unclear if they've set a wedding date.
"He proposed on Sunday," a source told the Post. "It was for their (three-year) anniversary."
A source told the Post that Jeter asked the Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated model's parents for their blessing "a few months ago."
Before playing in his final game last year, Jeter told NBC that raising kids was one of the reasons he was retiring from baseball after 20 seasons.
"I want to have a family," the future Hall of Famer said. "Who knows when it's gonna be? But I look forward to it."
Jeter's previous girlfriends include Mariah Carey, Miss Universe Lara Dutta, Jordana Brewster, Vanessa Minnillo, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel and Minka Kelly.
