NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — “You give us 22 minutes, we’ll give you the world.”
1010 WINS, New York’s iconic all-news radio station, celebrated 50 years of doing just that Monday night.
More than 300 people helped celebrate the milestone occasion at the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan.
1010 WINS’ own John Montone and Juliet Papa were the gala hosts.
Broadway stars Jarrod Spector and Kelli Barrett provided the evening’s entertainment.
The Prince George Ballroom is owned by Breaking Ground, a not-for-profit group dedicated to providing assistance to homeless and other vulnerable New Yorkers.
“For 50 years, 1010 WINS has had an unwavering committment to improving the communities we serve, and there is no better venue to continue that tradition than the magnificent Prince George Ballroom,” said 1010 WINS’ Director of News and Programming Ben Mevorach.
