NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A woman was killed late Thursday in a hit-and-run in Flushing, Queens, and police were on the hunt for a private bus that was believed to be involved.
Police were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m., after the vehicle struck the woman on Main Street at Kissena Boulevard in Queens, the NYPD said.READ MORE: Caught On Video: Woman Beaten, Walker Stolen In Harlem

Another driver told CBS2 it appeared the victim was on the street for several minutes before anyone noticed.

There is at least one NYPD surveillance camera nearby, CBS2 reported. The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad was investigating.
