Suspected Gunman In Deadly Midtown Shooting Arrested In Rhode Island

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The suspected gunman in a deadly shooting in Midtown Manhattan earlier this week has been taken into custody, police said.

Francisco Alsina, 23, was arrested in Rhode Island. He is awaiting extradition to New York.

Alsina is believed to have been the gunman in Monday's shooting near Penn Station, according to police.

The shooting started with a drug-related quarrel inside the McDonald's at 490 Eighth Ave., police said.

Alsina is believed to have shot and killed a 43-year-old man and wounded two other men just after 6 a.m. at the entrance to the 34th Street-Penn Station A, C and E subway stop, according to police.

Yesterday, police arrested Vincent 'Fat Chris' Arcona, 27, of Medford in connection with the shooting. Arcona was arrested when he tried to use a fake name at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital to get a psychological evaluation.
