Boomer & Carton: Jerry's Update Is Plentiful

Subscribe to the Boomer & Carton Podcast »

Jerry Recco did his thing Wednesday morning, and as usual did it with gusto.

We learned a lot on the NFL front, including how Mo Wilkerson doesn't care much for Jets losses, how Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey is in serious but stable condition after being shot, and why Johnny Manziel got demoted to third string for the Browns.

As far as the NBA goes, the Warriors set a league record by winning their 16th straight game to start the season. This time at the expense of aging Kobe Bryant and the sorry Lakers.

St. John's played better during its second game in Maui, but still lost to No. 13 Indiana by 10. Red Storm radio play-by-play man (and WFAN legend) John Minko made an impression all the way from Hawaii.

All that and much more.
